I wanted to take a moment to share with you my Mother’s Day mini’s! I love this time of year for a few different reasons: warmer weather, longer days, wedding season is right around the corner and family sessions really come out in full blast! But with all these good things happening I realized that some of you might not realize why mini sessions are so great for families of all shapes and sizes, so I figured now would be a great time!
- They’re great for young families. We all know that little ones can be a little finicky with cameras and keeping smiles, so the fact that there’s no warming up that has to happen makes the process a whole lot enjoyable for them and for you. It’s just lots of laughs (maybe some snacks!) and then you’re on your way!
- It’s the most cost effective. Other sessions can get expensive but the beautiful thing about mini sessions is that the cost is a fraction of what you would typically pay for a gallery that’s almost the same size!
- They’re quick! My mini sessions usually last about 20-30 minutes from start to finish so there’s really no need for bribing spouses who are uncomfortable with the camera because they don’t have to be in front of the camera all that long. By the time that the excitement of a shoot is over, so is the shoot! And no uncomfortable feelings are had!
- They’re one of the best ways to capture your family chapter by chapter. Because of the low-cost, high-frequency and occasion neutral setting mini sessions offer you can book these sessions throughout the year for any occasion under the sun! Whether it’s just because, a birthday present for a loved one far away or you still need a gift for Mother’s Day, these sessions make it easy.
